I won't bother posting pics since everybody else is. Will just give a quick update on what I received.

    x3 CC's - All three flawless
x2 O's- One flawless, one has a tiny scratch in surface by the eye like a tear.
x3 S's- All three ultra flawless
x3 D's- Two flawless, one with a fine, 1.5 mm scratch on the chin. One box missing a COA.

All in all, very happy with results. Will eventually send them in for grading and hold back the two flawed ones. The entire mintage will certainly not be 70s but my worst ones are excellent 69 quality. They are nice.

I know someone else that got two CC's and two O's that's not on forum. Says the O's were flawless. His CC's had an odd little depression above the star by the R in dollar on the reverse. Doesn't know if that precludes them from chasing 70 status but they're nice.

can you post a pic or two? searching google has NO pictures of the actual coins, just computer renders. would love to see what they look like in hand.

another thread just had some closeups, not the whole coin. ty

    Top: S
    Middle: D
    Bottom: CC

They seem to have different surfaces under the lights. These were taken under same lights in same positions. The CC has a more silvery look to it. The D has a frosty look to it and the S's are the cream of the crop IMO. They just couldn't be anymore perfect. They're all fantastic but the S's seem to stand out as premium with a hint of a golden tone to them compared to the others. I can't ask for any more. Only two very minor flaws in this whole batch which I have not photographed. I just did these three.

I wonder how many of these eBay ads with the computer renders are posted by people who didn’t even try to buy the coin and are just trying to con somebody.

Some of them may be but would guess most people don't have the capability or ambition to take quality pics. They are just there to flip and run.

From what I'm seeing here and on youtube, the bigger concern would be what these sellers are actually going to send the buyers who have already paid big bucks. (Assuming they send them anything at all.) People are going to want to save the 70s for themselves and the numerous flawed ones will be fulfilling ebay orders. There's just no way I'd buy a pre-order based on a computer rendering. There's no way people are going to send their best examples and keep a flawed one, however minor.

I don't know what percentage will be 70 quality but from what I'm seeing, it may not be 50%. Some people may not even receive three quality examples to pick from. I just watched a guy who ordered a CC and an O and he received two O's. Both of which were out of the capsules and one was in pretty rough shape. Both had marks on them.

Well the one O privy that I got yesterday won't grade MS70. Pretty coin though, I'll call her scarface. 20211026_114757.jpg 20211026_114751.jpg

they should appear different to an extent, the D and S were struck at their respective mints, the P, CC and O were struck at Philly. Different presses settings and operators.

P Morgans and Peace dollars arrived today. I'm sure glad I bought 3 of each! Two of the P Morgans look perfect. Not a flaw on them. Third appears flawless but may have a faint finger print on it at 10 o'clock that goes to the face. Very faint so hard to tell.

One Peace is flawless. One has a tiny speck under the hair behind the neck so is likely a 69. The last one I opened was a dandy. Fine hairline scratch from the nose across the cheek all the way to the hair in back. A half inch scratch. I won't send things back over a speck but a half inch scratch? That's going back.

You got lucky if most of yours where flawless . All 9 of what I got so far have marks . One O has a small die crack it appears I thought was cool but it also has a big Nick so I’m keeping one that’s toned under bright light. I have one Philly Morgan and 3 Peace dollars coming so hoping for the best

I foresee the value of MS70s increasing as it's realized that most of these are not in 70 condition. I do feel fairly fortunate given what I've seen out there. People may get upset over this but that's the coin market for you. Nearly the entire mintage will fall in the 67 to 70 category. Most collectors will want a graded 70 over the rest if they had the choice. Just like everything else. A lot of these got banged up at some juncture of their production and it seems like it should have been avoided for the amount of time they had to make them.

FWIW, I haven't heard of a San Francisco minted version having a flaw yet so if you see one, please post it. I will happily send all three of my S mint ones in to be graded. The rest it's only worth sending one or two. I'm sending this Peace above back to the mint.

Both my SF have a few small nicks and a little cabinet rub . The one I’m keeping is pretty nice still . My D’s where the worst . Both have a stripe look to them and numerous marks

Yup. Just like it got a staple in a 2x2 drug across it. Read the post above the picture. That was today’s update.

One of my Ds had a scratch on the chin. Somebody else told me all 3 of their Ds had scratches on the face. I’d love to know what cause it. It was perfect up to that point.

Are you guys sure they arent some die or striking issue? It's very unlikely for multiple coins to have identical scratches if they're identical
