So the U.S mint have paid the money back into my account yesterday but have shipped my items today? Has anyone else encountered this before?
that's interesting packaging. it's new orleans "privy". this packaging gives the impression it was struck at New Orleans Mint.....
Wow! Your Morgan (O) looks great. Let us know how it grades out. I have a 1921 D and S. I ordered the 2021 D and S. I doubt if I would get a decent grade for the 1921 coins, but I would like a holder with the 1921D & 2021D and the 1921S & 2021S. Any idea what it would cost to put the 2 D's and 2 S's in NGC's slabs?
With all the Morgans being graded at one time, maybe they will compare your coin to the others. I think that the worse thing that could happen, would be to get a PF69 grade.
Well my last 2 coins P Morgan and Peace dollars have left the mint! When I get those, I will also send them to PCGS for grading. I just have to keep myself from opening them to have a peek at them. Otherwise I will not get the "First Strike" designation on the label. (PCGS requires the packages from the Mint to be un-opened).
All of mine are now showing shipped. Some arriving tomorrow and others awaiting receipt with tracking numbers. I’ll post photos once they’re all here.
I got word that my Morgan D should be delivered this Friday and the Morgan S should be delivered this Saturday from the Post Office. I don't remember checking up on Post Office deliveries. Another quick question. I'm a member of ANA. Does my membership give me any privilege to grade by NGC and/or PCGS?
I received an email that mine had shipped 2 days ago. I go to track it an hour ago and it shows that it has not entered the system yet.
Question for anyone. Looks like my Morgan and peace was delivered Monday and I didn’t realize it and haven’t checked the mail. So it’s at home in my mailbox. I plan to get these grades through PCGS. I haven’t ever sent anything for grading before. Do these require any special submission procedures? Like, submit in the original and unopened mint package? I heard that some things in the past have had special requirements like that… I plan to sign up for PCGS and get these submitted this weekend so I can get a first strike designation…. thanks
It's easier to send modern products in the mint packaging, they have better protection than the flips and you don't have to buy any flips either. First strike you have 30 days to get it there from the date the first one shipped from the mint if you open the box. If you don't open the box from the mint you can get first strike whenever you want as long as the shipping label was created during the window, but you have to submit the unopened mint box at that point
