[CLOSED] Canadian Large Cent Giveaway!

As some of you know, I am a big fan of Canadian coinage. I collect Canadian large cents a lot, so when I saw some UNC large cents at my LCS, I had to get them! I already had the coins, but not in that condition. So, I am giving away the extras! The last five years of Canadian large cents.




To enter, there are two requirements. Put "Entry Post" in your post and only enter once, you know the rules. Also, say your favorite Canadian coin design and post a picture of it if you have one. I will pick a random number on November 1st and send the coins free of charge to the member selected.

Some nice pink/green/orange toning on the coins as well. Not overwhelming but certainly adds to the beauty.

Thanks for your response LordM! I like the Canadian Provinces and Victorian coins as well. I always keep my eyes peeled for any interesting Canadian coins in the world coin bins and such but not much luck yet with provinces, etc. I do have an 1871 Prince Edward Island large cent in pretty rough shape. (sorry for the quick binder pics) I think I may have gotten this one from @Bradley Trotter as well. Very nice design.

my favourite Canadian coin is the poppy 25 cent. It was the first coin my wife gifted me, so it has a very especial meaning.

I have many Canadian coins but nothing earlier than the mid 1950's. My favorite among them is this $100 gold proof save the children issue of 1979

I’ve always love Canadian Sovereigns as a series I also love the Victorian Silver and the Voyager dollar but I have photos of my Sovereign at hand .

The Ottawa mint was required as an Imperial Mint to strike sovereigns regardless of the lack of commercial use given Canadian desmialized currency link to the US dollar

Mine is not a great condition and the most common year (relative ever other imperial mint issued more sovereigns in a year then then the whole of the Canadian series ) .

The 1911 was also the first year Ottawa refined the gold which is cool since RCM is one of the big refiners in the world.

I know it’s can be seen as not really a “Canadian coin” but it’s an important part of the History of the Canadain Mint and legal tender at 4.88 2/3 but most people just used America gold when they wanted gold since it was the same domination

I like the 1967 Commemorative Issues with the animals on them, especially the 25 cent Lynx and the 50 cent Wolf. Both in Silver, of course.
I've actually collected more Canadian coins than US coins. I have several of the Whitman small cent collection albums full, but haven't really started a large cent collection at all, and I don't think I have any of the large cent Whitman albums.
The Canadian coins are very interesting, especially the many different commemorative dollars.

Rob at one time I had both of those Canadian gold coins, i in fact had quite a few....as gold was cheap ,and when it blew up I sold 2 lbs in gold coins mostly world & canadian. I loved the flying geese as in my hunting days I was a fowler.
