Any Ron Landis / Gallery Mint collectors on CT?

There must be someone in the robust exonumia community here on CT that is interested in his work.

    C'mon, show yourselves!

His work spans decades from Renaissance Fair pieces, to historical US coinage reproductions, ANA and coin club tokens, to contemporary silver and gold art bars. He even created design for consideration by Congress for what was to become the Sacagawea Golden Dollar series.

Most of his work is struck with hand engraved dies using historical screw or drop hammer presses. Hand struck coinage is also in his ballywick.

I can't be the only one. Post 'em if you got 'em.

    A recent arrival.

I like Landis and his work a lot, for sure, but I am not a collector of them generally speaking.

Last years silver original design Jefferson nickel was the only one I have from him, I got the two coin set and absolutely love it. Still haven't placed them in an airtight case...

I purchased many of the copper and silver colonial and early flowing hair and bust pieces when the were issued. I like them but haven't done anything with them in a while.

Terrible pic of a bust and flowing hair dollar

    Same here!

I put mine in Lighthouse slabs. I wanted to put the signature card on the back, but it didn't fit. So I had to get creative.

Yeah, those Schlag design competition strikes are definitely "gateway drugs" to a deep and pricey rabbit hole . . . .

Thought I would share one of his coin club tokens. These are quite affordable.

    How could I forget?

He carves and strikes Hobo Nickles as well.

    @dwhiz , don't you have a bunch?

I like it! I'll consider that, it looks great!

I thought about it, I really did because @ZoidMeister kindly reminded me while they were still available... My budget at that time would hold it.

Long winded professor got me out late, missing it.

I like his work but I don't collect it as I'm not really a collector of modern at all. The only Landis piece I own is a Jefferson Nickel, somewhere around here! :D

It's always difficult to pick a favorite, but this reproduction by GMM is definitely one of my Top Ten.

The range of his work across the decades is truly amazing.

I have the individual copper and silver from this set. The gold issues looked great, but I skipped them for other coins on my want list.

FYI - I thought they were originally offered over time as the dies were produced, with the full set purchase option coming later, but I could be mistaken. I'm pretty certain I purchased mine individually.

It was many years ago. I think they were out of the wood boxes and had to send it later. I'll try to take images this weekend.

Great items!! I have some buried somewhere that I got years ago. Wonder what would happen if I put them on ebay?
