    A German 5 Mark silver proof, low mintage I have been waiting for arrived yesterday, another for the 5 mark collection. 2 Canadian 50 cent silvers arrived today, upgrades on 2 I have in below average condition.

    Not crazy about the obverse design on the 5 mark coin, but nice additions. Thanks for the post.

    Yeah I'm not a fan of it either. I like the German coins for the different eagle designs.

    Exactly. There are not many of the commemoratives with good obverses, but when you have a lot laid out reverse side up, the eagle designs are fantastic

    German States struck more coinage then any other state. The most beautifull coinage was made 1600-1871 25bde9436949ff264a134298639a9e0f.jpg

    Nice. German States are not something I have properly started yet. I have 1 only, a full Thaler of Saxony, 1763. It will be a good start I guess
