Well this morning I got up early wanted to see one of my best dealers friends. Len always gives me great prices and deals. So I met him at the flea market up in Joppa Md. Len had his tables set up ,a few of his regulars were there already when I rolled in. Plus I had to hit his love and CWT tokens....for a good look. Len has trusted me for years many times asking me to watch his table, at a show while he left the room. He allows me to go though his inventory to hunt my varieties. Well this morning hunting indians I opened his binder and found an 1873 closed 3 broken D ddo he had it marked at 75 $! So as always Len like ill take $60 on the 73....Im like nope....he like you dont like the price....I said nope he's like what do you think is fair? I'm like well at least another $425 added to the $75 so like $500 is more like it. Yup the 73 ddo in vf and of course he offered it to me...I have 1 so I didn't need it...and I wasn't going to take advantage of a good friend. Who always throws me a discount.... But beware I am the hunter!
If it was any old dealer who I had no relationship with, I'd cherry pick that all day. What you have though is a friendship and there is no amount of money I'd cherry pick that for. PS, Glad you see you back buddy
You did his homework for him, but you didn't take advantage. Very respectable. Friends helping friends. That's what cements a relationship. The good Lord watches down on folks like you, dear fellow.
