What in the world are they even doing??

    O_O

I’ve never been to this site before and the first thing I came across was this.

$400 PER coin?? Oh and they send them in order so the cheapest ones go out first and the CC and O are last because they are currently selling for the most. But even then it’s nowhere near $400 even for the CC!

I repeat: What on Earth are they doing? Is it a joke? A troll? No way they can stay in business selling at those prices. Who would buy from them?

I think the 6-coin sets are going for about 2.5K to 3K for MS70 on eBay.

    Are they ANACS 70 or PCGS/NGC 70?

I have never dealt with them personally but I know a fellow collector who told me he sent an ANACS MS65 Morgan Dollar in to PCGS for crossover grading and they gave it MS63.

After examining the coin myself I noticed it had way too many nicks on the cheek for 65 and after comparing it to several PCGS/NGC 65 I think that’s why PCGS downgraded it.

I don’t think even half of the ANACS 70s would crossover as PCGS70.

My guess is they have some sort of deal with each other to both profit. ANACS makes money by putting on the sticker. CSN makes money by selling the coin with the sticker for a premium.

Im curious to see how mine grade when I receive them. I’m hoping since I bought duplicates of some that it will help my chances of getting at least 1x 70 from PCGS.

But in the long game I think the Peace Dollar will be the most popular of the set.

Anacs is usually pretty tough on Morgans , at least in recent years . I have seen questionably graded Morgan's from PCGS and NGC as well.

Fair point that’s true all TPGs make mistakes. Maybe it’s just because it happened to someone I know instead of reading about it that I thought of that.

I do think PCGS ones will get a premium over ANACS though.

Hmm did the price rise a lot recently for these coins?

I checked a few days ago and I could’ve sworn the entire set was going for about $2,000 in PCGS MS70.

Not for these TV guys. They will always have 70’s in bulk for everything including MS commens. The other tpg’s will have lots of 70’s as well, but not with labels which for example say 1 of 3015, with each and every set coin being a 70. I’ve seen some commems graded 70 which even with my poor eyesight are 66’s at best.

    That's the case for everything.

The PCGS sets are basically going for at least 2500. The NGC are like at least 2k.

The most likely one is the CC morgan. CC stuff is always very popular

Echo.........but mine show an origin out of Coppell TX. Most stuff I get from the mint origins out of Memphis TN. Here's the kicker........the Morgans are slated to arrive this coming Monday, while the stuff that got shipped out of Memphis a week ago is slated to arrive the same (Monday) day. Guess the Texas folks put a motor on the burro end of that shipment. Heck, ya don't mess with Texas.........:)

Well the CC stuff is certainly the most expensive now because of the limit order of 10 compared to 3 for everything else.

I think a lot of dealers took advantage of that “10” limit order and stocked up leaving few remaining for collectors and thus a higher price.

Technically they are all exactly the same in rarity since all of the Morgans have a mintage of 175,000 and none of them have had a chance to get lost/damaged etc.,

But I can’t imagine anyone collection just the CC on its own without going for the rest. Whereas the Peace Dollar I can completely see people buying it as a lone product without feeling the need to get the Morgans too. Especially Peace Dollar collectors.

Ive noticed that the payments even for the first Morgans still haven’t posted.

It’s been 3-4 days so they should have.

Neither of the cards I used to make the purchases has posted it so I’m wondering if it’s just an authorization check because it won’t post until it is ready to ship.
