It’s going right into my Dansco Type Album. A very attractive 1900 Barber or Liberty Head Dime. A common date as 17,600,000 were minted. A very nice design by Charles E. Barber, the chief engraver of the mint for the times. His B initial is located at the truncation of the neck.
Never was a big fan of the Barber design... However I am a huge fan of well struck coins... And that is certainly one of them. Super nice dime.
Nopeyou heard him right,in this condition it should be a $200+ coin if not cleaned.Which i have a feeling it could be,but anyway someone played fair and easy in general.
Pretty much said what I was thinking. Not a fan of Barbers, but if you must have one go for a very nicely and fully struck example.
I ment to put $100.Ok then its just the pictures, the lack of luster and black spots had me somewhat concerned about it.
Congrats on an awesome win. And for the record, any Barber with a nice crisp, strong strike like that easily has a home in my collection. I love it.
I paid about the same for mine, but I think your's is a bit nicer if not slabbed/graded very nice buy... (PS not a major barber fan this is "one" for the type set lol) But gotta say I do like em MS
