Probably not. You should beable to pick a 69 out of a mint set easily.

Here are Heritage's sales for PCGS MS67's. They have not sold either NGC or 68's lately although the last NGC68 went for $86 in Jan, 2008.

    I don't think so!! :eating:
Out of 1344 Graded at NGC there are only 7 graded at the MS69 level.

But it is fun have a 69!!

  6. I think $55 is OK for the MS68. Too bad it is not FT. TC

    Schatzy you have a 69?
What did you pay for it?
Did you send it in yourself?

PCGS has only graded 5 in MS-69, none MS-69 FB.

If the price doesnt get to high, I would go for it!! Though there maybe a few
Around you still have to find them and then get it graded, Kind of a pain!!

Actually we are talking about the 1996W.

I was just showing off my MS69 that I own.....I didn't say it was 1996-W.

I'd have paid that for it. When I was looking for one for my Registry Set the 67's were in the $80+ range.

Doesn't seem like a bad price for an MS68, but I'd rather take that same $60 or so and buy 5 or 6 1996 mint sets and just keep the 5 or 6 96W dimes in the mint plastic :)

I figured these sets were made specificly for collectors so more carewould be taken. The 2 I have are very nice, maybe I just got lucky?

Cladking has posted a lot on clad mint sets. You may want to do a search for cladking's posts. I have learned a lot from him.

here's mine. Any guesses on the grade would be appreciated. It's still in the packaging of course so some of the markings are not really on the dime at all. Just off the top of your head, much appreciated. :thumb:

Am I missing something here, weren't these only available in mint sets, so didn't all of the 67's,68's, and 69's come out of mint sets. Please correct me if I am wrong.

Absolutely!! It was not packaged like a mint set though, I mean the dime was separately packaged. :thumb:
