    Spectacular enough in my book.

    (After peeking at the set)

So can you still include PCGS coins in an NGC Registry set, or is that a grandfather clause sort of thing? I know it used to be that way, but didn't think it still was?

Of course my knowledge about the NGC Registry would fit inside a thimble.

I was grandfathered in. I've actually had this Gold $1 for a while, and finally got around to mailing it to Bob to get it properly imaged. At one point, just after the switchover, all PCGS slabbed coins were given 0 value points. Needless to say, that has been switched back.

    Aha. Thanks for the info.

I think the ANA or CAC or somebody should take it upon themselves to offer a registry which includes both of the "Big Two" TPGs.

Or even the four recognized by eBay (PCGS, NGC, ANACS, ICG).

Edit- nahh, that last might be a logistical nightmare. But at least one for the Big Two, even if it excludes NGC Ancients, which do not have numerical Sheldon grades.

The last I knew, NGC had opened their registry up to PCGS graded, U.S. coins again. I uploaded a few pieces.

Since I have not very active in the U.S. coin market any more, I have not checked it out recently.

BTW, the 1858 gold dollar looks to be very nice for the MS-63 grade. This one is an MS-64.

Exactly! Clean fields, decent strike and the luster appears to be better than choice BU.
