Well folks, I believe I have found one of the worst eBay listings I have ever seen.
At this point it has 13 bids.. Bidiots :banghead:
And the seller uses metal tweezers

There is some silver value to the dime maybe a $1.25 total. ther are some very strange "errors" out there for sure but this is one

Other than calling it an 'error', does the seller offer any explanation for it ?

    Such as :

Found, Dime and Cent stuck together.

Doofus with nothing better to do, glues a Dime onto a Cent, calls it an "Error" and offers it for sale on eBay.

    or perhaps

Please believe me when I say this is a rare error coin worth lots and lots of money.

The listing has no description besides the same thing its title states.
It looks to be a machined Cent. The Reverse side was hollowed out and made into a shell in order to fit the dime in. It's so obvious that it is altered. Some people and bidiots just lack common sense.

I saw this coin a little while ago reported it but really as long as it sells ebay won't intervene.

Please don't report these listings. It's the only way the bidiots will learn! Let them lose their money!

It would be hilarious if one day a new member joins CoinTalk and shows the coin in question or any of the other non errors that we see on eBay.

If it was really an error, it would have been a Roosevelt dime on the back, not a murcury dime. They stopped making murcury dimes in 1946, and the penny on the "error" above is a 1949!!! :hilarious::hilarious::hilarious:

sometimes you have to see an item as personal tastes. I myself would give $2.00 for this $.11. WHY? Personal tastes is my only excuse. I have seen people pay BIG money for a Sports Jersey from a famous player. (again I would pay $2.00 for the most rare jersey out there) Same with Art. Seeing a painted picture with an eye on the foot and the nose on the neck. Some folks would pay Millions. I'd Give $2.00. Personal tastes makes the world go around.

The winner will eventually come to this site and post it, asking how much it's worth.

Most likely it was just intended to be one of those looney magicians coins. The individual who's got it for sale on line is the one trying to make a buck though.
