Hi all! Not a coin, but I know there are people here proficient in Arabic. I picked up this lidded brass pot inlaid with copper and silver. Its a pleasing example of Damascene or 'Cairo' ware, and from the construction and craftsmanship, I think its from the first half of the 20th century. If anyone wishes to correct me on the above, please do so, as this is not my field of expertise - I just thought it was a nice thing, and the price was right. If someone could translate the Arabic, that would be hugely appreciated. Also, if not made apparent by the content of the text, could someone offer a potential point of origin for this piece? Many thanks in advance!

Hi Lueds, Thanks for the kudos but have to 'date' myself as the quote was 'stolen' from a really funny Johnny Carson bit. J.T... a.k.a. Thief of Bagdad
