Almost 70 years old and looking almost as good as the day it were new . . . . . . I wish I held up as well . . . . . Z
Very nice. Handouts from dealers were big back then. Here is a money clip my aunt got when she bought a 1951 Pontiac. It included a Silver Dollar.
Oh. @1stSgt22 . I did ! It was a 1996 Saturn SL2 . Weather stripping problems plus a lot other engine problems due to cheap parts . Good Ridden's Saturn !!
Of course the one my aunt bought was a 1951 the 25th Anniversary year. She said that most of the people she knew that bought the 1951 took the silver dollar out and spent it. Threw the money clip in the trash. Dollar was a dollar back then. That's part of the reason collecting coins was in a very ripe garden.
A member from another forum informed me that the little Studebaker medal above had a bigger brother It took me a while to locate one but it finally arrived. At 32mm for my original piece, the new one is more of a "papa" measuring in at 77mm. Presenting "Father and Son" Studebaker's . . . . . Z
