ASE Reverse Proof

I'm waiting for the 2021 Morgan & Peace dollars to put there.
But it may not happen, since I placed my order my credit card was updated so the date and code changed.
I tried talking to a customer service rep but to no luck.

My VISA expires 10/21. I got my renew VISA. Every thing on the card was the same except the Security Code. I immediately entered the new code for the items that I had ordered. I hope that they pick up on the new code. If they try the old code which expires 10/31/2021, I was told by my Credit Union that it should go through. It may be best since Ordered the Golden Horse coin and the AGE UNC and the Limited Edition Silver Coins. It may be the best because if my wife finds out I spent that much on coins, she'll either kill me or take me off our credit cards and bank account. After all, I put more into it that she does and we're totally out of debt.

 

I'm pretty sure they only use that code for when you place the order. Now that it's been validated, they shouldn't need it again to complete the charge. (It's against PCI rules to store the security code.)

 

I asked the Mint (via email) about a week ago and I just got my answer that is two pages long. Let me read it and I'll get back to ya. Thnx.

 

I got an email this morning 14 Oct. saying this set was a available. I went to the Mints site and sure enough. I bought it and checked out ok. 15 minutes later the site said sold out. The odd thing is Monday 11 Oct. I emailed the mint asking what they do with canceled orders. All I know is I now have the 2 coin Reverse set I wanted when offered a month ago.

 

Anyone read when the Bucking Horse American Liberty Gold Coin will be released? Has anyone gotten any? Just curious. Gold seems to slow everything down.

 

Oh yeah. I did get notice that my Limited Edition Silver Set is one its way.

 

finally got the burnished Eagles in the mail but still waiting on the Morgan, Peace, Reverse Proof Eagles and Limited Edition Silver set. Morgan and Peace is listed as Backorder, others as Processing.

 

i got notice that the Limited Edition Silver Coin has been shipped via UPS. I buy some things at Amazon. I bought some ink for my printer yesterday afternoon and I got an email telling me I will receive them today. I wonder what Amazon has that the U.S. Mint doesn't have. One thing is that they now have their own delivery trucks and I have been getting they the next day. Maybe the U.S. Mint should sell through Amazon.

Oh! Was one of the Morgans a "Reverse Proof"? I thought that the only product that was an ASE Reverse Proof.

 

No none of them are reverse proof I think there was just confusion or a mixup by the person who posted it.

A reverse proof Morgan would look amazing though!

It’s also important to remember that the US Mint is sending 125,000 coins multiplied by 6 different types which is 750,000 coins being shipped out in a short period of time. Granted many people ordered more than 1 coin so at least they don’t have to ship to 750,000 different people but it’s still a lot of work to send all that stuff quickly with the Mint having so few employees in comparison to Amazon.

Maybe not 10s of billions but definitely a lot!

I remember the time a glitch let me see ALL the orders placed that day.

 

You're right, its not 10s of billions its actually 100s of billions annually

 

I had the same situation with my O and CC Morgans - my visa expired 10/2021 and I received a new card last month (activated because I had other charges needed on it). Luckily the mint successfully charged with my old date/cvv and it showed up on on my statement as pending last night. I was sweating bullets. Luckily I used a different card on my Peace dollar.
