Hi all! I am currently in Vienna and wanted to share some of the coins from the Kuntshistorische Museum, both their regular offerings and from a temperature exhibition entitled Evil Emperors. Overall a fantastic experience except for them including Maxentius and Julian II; they’re my homeboys and definitely not evil!!
Am I envious!! Those are some true rarities in superb condition. In the gift shop they may even have a book about the exhibition or maybe some postcards. Thanks for sharing!!
Thank you for posting your images, @Restitutor. The coins are superb but I’m particularly interested in the way museums and galleries display their coins.
It sounds like a very interesting exhibit and I'm glad you were able to see it! Oh, I get why Nero, Commodus and Constantine were included, but Lucius Verus and Crispina evil????
