1967 no mint wing error?!

I cannot seem to find another 67 like this... I'll try to downsize image. Anywho on the right side of the coin at the tip of the flowers the wing splits off and goes in between the 2 petals... I've been looking.. please help and note its not damage!!

Can't tell without pictures im guessing your talking about a quarter?this happens often a lot of new coin people think damage is an error and stick with it to cause trouble,don't be that person.Its most likely some form of damage but im not going to say %100 without seeing the coin.

Suggestion. Any future threads concerning a possible mint error should be created over at the Error Coins forum.. Not the what's it worth forum.

 

Not an error numismatic pederolia most likely damage the coin has seen some action.Aso no mint mark means it was minted at the Philadelphia mint,you have 25 cents.

 

Your close-ups are of little use. They are too grainy and pixelated. Why don't you just give us a full-size image of the entire coin?

as stated above all I see is 25 cents and circulation damage with wear and tear no need for so many pictures.

No really perfect answer just imagine what it has been through for 54 years a lot can happen.

Do you know how many times people come here and tell us, "I cannot find another like this." Well, even if you were able to sort through all 1.5 billion of them that were struck, you probably won't.

How do you know that it isn't damage? There are thousands of ways that it could have been damaged while in circulation. There are only a small number of ways that it could have been altered during the minting process.

Until we see better photos, I can only surmise that none ever will.

 

Any recommendations on how to take better pictures? Like any apps or anything? If you could see this point in person I swear you would think different lol.

 

Get a better camera or scope…one with 3MP or better…and a low power, dual lamp, diffused light source will help, here’s how:
1. The more megapixels helps eliminate pixelation problems on close-ups. The cheaper USB scopes have 2MP and produce pictures like yours.
2. 2 lamps of 25-40 watts helps balance the light on your coin without being too strong for your camera/scope. 2 lamps are usually placed to shine from 10 o’clock and 2 o’clock.
3. Diffusion paper or lens filters that soften your light source help to eliminate glare. Glare can also mimic doubling.

Alas, I agree with @potty dollar 1878 …your quarter has 54 years of wear and damage. This is what most collectors call a spender. There’s just too much wear for it to have any added value beyond face value…imo…Spark

 

Just so yall know, I found another just like it online.. I doubt 2 very different quarters have the same damaging.

Haha I definitely don't know much, but this is what I noticed. The first 2 are of my 1967. The 2nd 2 are his or hers lol idk. Anywho I find it strange that this person's coin has the same 2 flaws. I instance wear etc.. but when I look at mine I can definitely see the raised lines and shadows behind them. The lines start right at the leaf where it splits the wing in 2 and flows down the side settling in between the 2 leaves.
