What do you think is the difference in the sales prices of the these two Morgans?
How much of a difference do you think there should be?

Somebody probably paid three time as much for CAC approved one.

As for me, I am not interested in either one. It’s a common date.

I like having CAC coins in my collection........if I can pick them up at a reasonable price. I refuse to pay moon money for one, when I can trust my own eye. :)

A number of things. CAC obviously, the toning itself and how much the bidders like that specific look, how much one was promoted over the other probably played some role.

I'm not a big fan of 1 but 2 looks lovely. As far as what the difference should be, well as you know toning prices can be volatile when talking about colorful toning so I dont think there's actually a right answer but I would expect it to be at least fairly substantial

CAC in my opinion is just another Company looking to capitalize on the buyer and in return, we as collector's ultimately pay the price, literally ! We get srewed again .

:rolleyes:And I thought it was the brilliance of the obverse surfaces. Not that the public had any biased towards the other.

They actually make their money from the submitter. CAC makes zero money on the sale.

Number 2 obviously has the much better eye appeal and appearance also being CAC approved most of the time brings the better premium. Both are nice sometimes real crap coins get much more than they actually should deserve. Many times with CAC and star coins I can't understand how some got the designation in the first place, which is why you buy the coin not the slab.

I am all over number one. Not sure what the premium should be but I bet its over 300.

@Pickin and Grinin . Help me understand. I'm a little confused in my crazy condition . I'm in a locked facility .:wacky:
The submitter is the one having it labeled CAC aren't they ?The one having it graded ??

CAC just gets name recognition for something like 5 bucks.
    The seller holds the gem.

Yes and the one getting the significant value increase that FARRRRRRRRRRRRR outweighs the cost of submitting in this case.

I guess , $5 here and $5 there adds up . I'd rather eat at Wendy's with a coupon. :hilarious:

I would rather have some steak and potatoes' for the same price.
Add a couple of fried eggs and tortillas. Your still beating the hell out of the value menu.

Lets put it this way. If you didnt want to submit a coin like that to save $20 bucks you can enjoy a couple Wendys trips. Meanwhile someone else will submit it and if it stickers they'll be eating at a high end steakhouse with significant money left over.

@baseball21 I'm sorry . I'm just maybe old-fashioned and I don't see paying more for one of these labeled coins as opposed to one that isn't . Maybe for some people but not for me . I'll just stay away from these CAC stickered coins like I stay away from high end restaurants unless you consider Longhorn Steakhouse or Texas Roadhouse restaurants High -end ?

You'd probably be shocked by the sales price. The point it its a highly respected opinion in the market. For coins of significant value like this its would be being penny smart dollar stupid and just shooting yourself in the foot not to try if it has a chance.
