Me too~ I'm waiting for the firemen to leave. Chimney fire, but after the smoke clears I might have a chance to posts my obvious phonie.:crying:
Hear is one This one is easy. CC never minted any of these this year, it sticks to the magnet, is really light in the hand and is just plane ugly all around. Now I've got to find my sleeping bag because the old lady does not want to be rational about me setting the house on fire today. One dern thing after another.
Here is a great site on counterfeits everyone should have book marked. It is put together by CT member StopMotion. The Numismatic Enquirer. http://www.numismaticenquirer.com/The_Numismatic_Enquirer/Home.html
Still standing ThanX TH. The house is still standing. Spouse just thinks I should sleep on the couch next to the stove few awhile until we are sure the fire is out.:loud: Is my phony the best phony so far?
Facts And Humor Great Post!! I apologize for finding humor in your adversity, but the manner of nonchalant "matter-of-fact" presentation is so "moving", after a factual post about coinage. We need more "humor" intermingled with factual discussion. I hope that you locate something that will provide you with warmth in a "cool" environment, and that tomorrow brings a semblance of normalcy. Thanks for the "enlightenment".
How about a copper counterfeit of a Classic Head Quarter Eagle. Badly corroded at this point but easily identifiable.
