Blocked from bidding

    I've spent many thousands of dollars with Naumann over the years and now they've blocked me from bidding. I'm assuming it's because I forgot about an invoice from less than 30 days ago for about $200. As a courtesy they could have sent me a reminder instead.

    That's very annoying. I'm sure they expect to be forgiven for neglecting to promptly ship lots customers have paid for! Have you asked to be reinstated, even if it's too late for a current auction?

    Everyone in their Billing Department contracted COVID, and so the janitors have been doubling up on their duties. Yeah, sure!

    Well, I found the invoice buried in my inbox because I suspected that's what happened. I paid the invoice via PayPal, and even though I received a message from PayPal confirming that it was paid, the bidder.com invoice says "payment pending" which seems strange. Usually it just switches to "paid." But I did send an email which says:

    "I realized I was blocked from bidding in your auctions. I checked and saw that I had an open invoice that I forgot about, so I just paid it. Sorry, I hope you’ll be able to restore my ability to bid."

    Hopefully I'm not blocked for some other reason, like my name appeared on some blacklist I don't know about!

    Anyway, too late for the current auction. We'll see what happens.

    Maybe they just didn't like the movie.

    How could they not like the movie Ben-hur??!

    I think they will unblock you if it’s the first time and you said you just paid it.

    They don’t want to lose a single customer and obviously if you paid and sent an email you weren’t trying to do them wrong.

    Usually in my experience companies only permanently ban customers if they try to intentionally do the company wrong. Like not paying an invoice and refusing to pay it even upon reminder and request.

    I also think they will understand because they didn’t send you a reminder and you had the PayPal payment pending.

    .i'd say you'll be cleared for next time...he whose blocked and bill is paid, will bid again another day..:) ((C) 2021 o-1:smuggrin:)
