What is this error?

I don't think it's a chip cuz those are usually on the edge of a device. Don't think it's a gouge, no signs of polishing at this stage of the penny yet. Reminds me of a quarter I once found called a "spitting eagle". I found a roll with several samples. So what is this?

There are also plenty of signs of die polish,
Couple of major ones runnug up from the 9 and a good one running from the 6 to the D

That is a die chip near the '6'. Interior Die Break.
I see some die cleaning line on the field above the '9'.
IDB's are quite common on the 1960 cents.

    IMO it's a strike-through.
A little bit of crud got into the striking chamber and "Voila".

Common DB. Good conversation piece. I would seal it, keep it, show it. Thanks for sharing.

would be a good coin to give to a youngster to perk their interest in watching for errors and coin collecting. other than that a good conversation piece.

Either a die gouge or die chip.

Hmm, nobody noticed that part that looks like an RPM on the last pic? Maybe it's not that either?
