Showing 1,112 left as of 6:30 EDT So they've been on sale for 6.5 hrs. This set wasn't going to be a flip opportunity for people. Mainly just for people who wanted it or missed out on one or both of the ASEs in earlier sales. If they sell out today, they'll still view it as a huge success. Admittedly I bought a set because I just wanted to and had free shipping. But I wouldn't be surprised if they aren't for sale cheaper than issue price in the near future. I'm also curious to see what shows up first. This set or my backordered ASE S proof from August. They can't seem to get those out and this set has one in it.
They do this for every release they think will bog the website down. It seems like there's a variably sized, dedicated group that is ordering the moment they go on sale. The bigger the group, the longer the site is bogged down as they fight each other. Then the initial "must haves" clear out and its operation returns to normal. I was able to order this set from my phone on a whim in about 30 seconds. I was busy and somebody reminded me they were on sale so I said screw it and got right through on my cell. Had to hold a progress bar down three times to prove I was human and the order went through. This ones a HH order limit of 1 and doesn't have the hype so I'm not surprised there's still a thousand left for sale this evening.
I have to admit that while I was on the site I debated and finally ordered a limited edition silver proof set. I had missed both the the San Fran proof type 2 and the West Point type 1 ASE's sales. I didn't need the other coins (already had the 2021 silver proof set), but this is a convenient way to acquire both ASE's without having to ebay for them. Swore I was done this year, but I guess the mint made some more money off of me... the dangers of window shopping.
Very nice! you are a great Grandpa! also keeping the hobby going like this is a wonderful idea! The reason i asked was because i have an extra 2021 birthday coin and an extra 2021 Birth set i was willing to part with at original cost, the Birth set is still available but the Happy B Day coin is not available at the mint and i thought you had stated there was a new birth in the Family? Anyway looks like you have it covered pretty darn good but if you change your mind just PM me!

There isn't, which is why it took over 6.5 hours to sell 50,000 sets. An item with high interest sells out 50,000 in a matter of a few minutes.
