The company that owned Krause was split up and assets were sold at bankruptcy auction. Numismatic News and a few of the magazines went one place, the Standard Catalogue of World Coins went to Penguin Random House. I don't think they've put out a new issue since, but they just bought it in the summer of 2019. The world has been on pause since then.
I was unaware of this. For the last few years I’ve just been using the clunky, error-ridden KM (Numismaster) database on the NGC World Coins Priceguide. I don’t even own the paper catalogs anymore, and my digital versions are also nearly a decade old by now.
Has anybody seen updates or signs of life out of Penguin/Bertlesmann (the catalogs) or Active Interests Media (the data piece) since the bankruptcy in early 2019?
