International Coffee Day (October 1st) is an occasion that is used to promote and celebrate coffee as a beverage, with events now taking place in locations around the world. In all countries of the world, coffee is considered the second drink consumed after water: two in three people on the planet drink coffee, for an estimated total of 2.5 billion cups of coffee per day. Finland, the Netherlands, Iceland, Canada and Sweden are the champions of coffee consumption. Many numismatists and coin collectors start the day with this exquisite hot beverage; and you tell me please, what is better than enjoying a good coffee while reading a Cointalk thread ? Please show us your "COFFEE COINS" ! Here are some examples:

Best and most consistent coffee out there on the road and for the price is McD's, plus in our single-pod Keurig at home it's McD's McCafe, in bold/French Roast...none of the watered-down light or breakfast stuff for us...albeit certainly to each their own, as you prefer, etc. A spoonful of half/half or heavy whip stirred in and for 50c/pod (cup) you've got the equivalent of a $5 Starbucks. Bon Appetite...!

I don't drink coffee. Can't stand the stuff.
I get my caffeine fix with Monster energy drinks.
My favorite flavor is the zero ultra white:

How about Venus drinking a Frappucino on a sestertius with a coffee-colored patina?

I learned to love coffee in Brazil. Best coffee in the world IMHO. Ground to a fine powder, then put in a pan of almost boiling sugared water. (don't let it come to a full boil!). Then poured into a carafe using a "coador" (cloth "sock") to filter out the powdered coffee. Result is a smooth, sweet strong coffee, best consumed in a demitasse cup.
Coffee without any bitterness is a delicious thing. Brazilian's always say that they keep the best coffee in Brazil and export the stuff that doesn't make the grade.

Black roast, golden taste, a dash of frothing milk, and Spes happy to serve it. Who said Domitian didn't appreciate the simple things in life?

I had Kopi Luwak coffee in the Philippines several years ago. It tasted very smooth and was a good coffee, but for the price difference, just give me French roast out of the can. Kopi Luwak is one of the worlds most expensive and unique coffees.
Nicknamed cat poo coffee, because the coffee is processed by the Aisan Palm Civet cat, which eats only the ripest coffee cherries. The beans ferment in the cat’s stomach and the partially digested beans are then excreted into the cat feces. Plantation workers retrieve the beans and roast them immediately to make civet coffee.

Excellent coins and post, Ocatarinetabellatchitchix !

Thank you for calling attention to International Coffee Day. I sincerely appreciate fine coffee and espresso.

My dear wife — the love of my life and Angel who saved me from self destruction — celebrated the anniversary of our first date a few weeks ago — our first date consisted of a visit to the Baltimore Museum of Art followed by a visit to a local Starbucks.

I don’t have an ancient coin that is coffee related :(

I do however have a coffee mug that is ancient coin related

Their Italian Roast is great if you brew it thick.

Gotta disagree with the first part. Say what you want about "corporate coffee" but Sbux knows how to properly roast a bean! Their dark roasts are fantastic.

I'm with you about drinking it black though :).

Gorgeous coin, RC. Love that portrait.

I see what you did there :hilarious:.

    Completely agree! :)

Wait, except dark roast black unsweetened iced coffee rocks too.

Cafe au lait is okay for coins though :D.

Having travelled extensively in Central and South America I drink my brew Strong & Black. Preferably Perked Columbian. I'm sure to each his/her own poison, but I would rather be served tap water than be treated to any Starbucks or fast food brand coffee and yes, I have sampled Starbucks and McDee's :yuck:.
