I know this questions come up a lot but I never had issues until the other day. My pics are set at 1280 x 1024 and they are still coming no bigger than thumnails. I normaly post them at 800 x 600 but they are doing the same thing as the larger file size any ideas

Is it possible to post pics from my local computer or do I have to put them on a website as suggested above? Why can't I "browse" and just pick a .jpg from my computer?

What program are you using to edit your pictures? Virtually every one I have seen has a method of saving them in a reduced quality (i.e. fewer KB's). I posted a picture here that was 2304px × 3072px but was only 68.93 kB (70588 bytes). See http://www.cointalk.com/t8565/#post779155.

If you find it easier, by all means use a hosting site. However, their problem is that when you change you file name, company or anything else, you original thread loses its picture and would them likely be meaningless.

You can do that but CT is set to automatically scale down image files to thumbnail sizes.

Check the Support & Feedback section, where this inquiry thread should have been placed, for info about uploads, file sizes and other related issues.

I post with hosted images from Google's 'Picasa Web Albums', using "go advanced" > "manage attachments" >"upload file from a URL".

The image posts in the thread as a thumbnail. to view it you click the image, the screen darkens and a gallery window opens, the image is enlarged for viewing, if there are multiple images, you can view them all in the gallery view.

One of these images is 1600 pixels wide (CT resizes to 198.5kb), the other is 300 pixels wide (CT resizes to 130.4kb).
