Anyone get the 2021 ASE Reverse Proof set in the Mail yet?

I was just looking up prices on Ebay and I’m absolutely shocked that some people have already received their coins in the mail considering mine hasn’t even shipped out yet.

Did anyone from CT happen to get theirs yet?

How does the US Mint decide who’s orders ship out first? Is it first come first shipped?

Or do they ship out the orders with overnight shipping paid for first?

Personally I think paying the $20 for overnight shipping is dumb but I know a lot of people want that instant gratification and are willing to pay for it even if it doesn’t make sense logically.

It isn't nice to mess with the "First Strike", "Early Release" and other attributes invented by the TPG's. It will be what it will be.

I’m not asking because I want FS or ER.

In fact I don’t plan on sending mine in for grading at all.

But I’m just curious if anyone got their stuff already because it’s crazy that some people have gotten their order 2 days after placing it.

I'm sure it's no different than any of their other products with up to 10% of the mintage selling to the large dealers before they went on sale. I'm still waiting on proof ASEs I bought a month ago in early August. Still on backorder.

Usually if it’s on backorder it means they haven’t even made it yet.

Like the 2021 Morgan Dollars & 2021 Peace Dollars are also on backorder even though I purchased the first two Morgans way back in May.

This is in regard to the ASE Uncirculated Coin. I bought two and they were processed on the next day but I am still getting this tracking note -

Three days and my order is still showing processing. Called the mint and they said there was a hold up for some unknown reason. Must have had a bunch of orders for expedited shipping. Maybe tomorrow

Mine is the same. I used the free shipping since I want to keep the price as low as possible.

My ASE Uncirculated have been waiting for shipping since Sept 9. My Designer Set is confirmed but still processing. Uneasy feeling that they will both be diverted to a more important person.

I wouldn’t worry about your Designer’s Set being diverted. I had to wait a few days for processing on other orders I’ve made from the US Mint too.

Another reason I’m not worried is the Designers Set isn’t really worth diverting due to the huge public backlash that would result if it was found out that the US Mint was diverting high demand items. It retailed from the Mint for $175 and is selling on EBay for $300. That’s not enough for someone at the Mint to risk their job.

Now if it was something like the V75 American Gold Eagle coin with a $15,000+ resell value due to a stupidly low mintage of 1,945 coins I would definitely be worried. I can totally imagine a Mint employee diverting like 10-15 of them to friends & family so they could make huge profits from the resale.

Whats the difference between Uncirculated ASEs and the bullion ASEs sold in monster boxes?

The Uncirculated ASE's have the mint mark and are considered a coin rather than bullion.

Ohhh you mean like my 5oz ATB quarter?

Mine came in a box with a COA and has the P mintmark. Whereas they have others that come in tubes of 10 with no mintmark.

Mine also has more of a burnished look rather than a mirror look.

Is that the same kind of thing?

I believe the ASE bullion coins can be minted at any mint therefore no mint mark. The ASE Uncirculated are typically made at West Point and individually packaged with COA. I think it started in 2006.

They don't cancel orders to sell it to someone else. There's no reason to ever be worried about that on anything.

    Exactly.

SF usually is the first to pick up the slack. Occasionally Philly will do some small runs in more recent years and the mint tried to hide that fact for some reason. So far Denver hasn't done any and I'm not sure they even have the machines to do them.

We already had this conversation on the other thread. If USPS hasn't received the package from the carrier that picked it up initially then you're going to continue to see tracking that looks like your above post.

The reality is, from the tracking date until your above screenshot its been only two days. Patience grasshopper, patience.
