Well I dont know to much about thses other than I got them in a trade about 20 years ago. I traded a 1915 $2.50 Gold coin for a 1826 Half in MS 60+. The guy and I were new to coins at the time so he said here are some tokens I'll throw in also. I knew they were fake but I just want to make sure. What makes me wonder now is I picked up some 1 Dollar gold coins from the same time frame and dang it if they didn't tone just like a couple of the tokens did. Let me know what you think. Like I said I'm 95% sure that they are fake.
Unfortunately, without even looking at your pictures, I know that statistically the likelihood that you have real California gold that wasn't purchased from a top-flight dealer are somewhat less than .01%.
Like I said he was just I guy I met. He wasnt a dealer at all. He told me they were tokens I knew they were tokens, but I just wanted to make sure thats all. I just had them for all these years and never realy gave them a second thought other than tokens.
