Split Bands/Split Hairs Guess the Grade

I submitted this raw to ANACS and it came back slabbed. How would you grade this coin?

Hello. I gave it a MS-66 with FSB . Thanks for sharing, beautiful coin !

 

I gave it a 65-FSB.


I know ANACS well, and they are tough graders, and proud of it.

 

65-FSB

 

AU58 subdued luster and high point rub.

 

No Grade opinion, but the T adds a subtle character.

I gave it MS64 FB because it doesn't seem to have the pop that the TPGs look for at first glance, and when you look closer, there are many little marks and luster grazes.

 

YOU guys are going to LOVE this grade.

 

Diffinately split bands. Very sharp. As far as the grade I could see it being graded as AU 58 because it may have a slight rub on hair above ear but, it could also come back as a 65. A few grazes on the neck holding it back.

 

What ear? Can you show me what you mean?

 

Where do you see luster graze?

 

The reverse has a few more issues than the obverse but that shouldn't ding the grade.
Overall a nice coin.

67 FSB, a real beauty.

 

On the neck, in the right obverse field (behind the neck), in the right reverse field (to the right of the of the fasces below E PLURIBUS UNUM).

In addition there are a number of tiny nicks in those locations as well, especially the right reverse field. Dimes are tiny coins, they are expected to be extremely clean for gem grades.

The luster looks dull. MS62 fsb

 

I went with MS64 FSB. A lot of marks on the reverse.

 

Is the luster dull because it is a blast white?
