Picked this half up relatively inexpensively. Had obtained a few others during the last year. I think this series of halves are casting some sort of collecting spell on me. I seem to be seeking them out often. 32465B9B-5129-4671-BD72-CC588E3E127B.jpeg 0420DCC4-AF6D-4711-95A9-AB237E6E3025.jpeg

They are Mong my favorites as well. The halves come out much better than the dimes and quarters for sure.

Yup, it's a fever, and an aspirin won't fix it. I have spells myself. The die marriage appears to be O-115, R2. (Slightly uncommon.)

The well circulated Busts are not only suprsingly inexpensive, but they are HIGHLY collectable with huge histories and are beautiful in the hand. It is a worthwhile area to collect (much better IMIO than running after conditional rarities).

    ENJOY!

I'm having a great time collecting these. Many years ago these didn't cost very much. It's not that way any longer. Wish I had bought more.

    My only bust halves are obvious overdates. Here are a few of my favorites 50c 1805 Over 4 Date.JPG 50c 1817 Over 3 Date.JPG 50c 1824 Over 2 Over 0 Date.JPG

Capped Bust Halves are my all-time favorites; here are 3 of my raw CBH favorites; 1809-not the best condition but the eye appeal is great; and 2-1834’s large & small dates; better condition than the 1809 & the patina is amazing!
