  1. Haven't seen this one before I don't know what could cause this besides too much heat perhaps. What caught my eye is the the other eye of the silhouette is going to silver circle that sticks out pretty good I can use my microscope and get a better picture if it's worth doing let me know. Back side looks normal. KIMG8215.JPG KIMG8218.JPG KIMG8214.JPG

Rusty quarter. Spent some time face down in a millimeter or two of standing water.

A little dive I eat at occasionally for breakfast still has unlimited $0.25 coffee with the purchase of a meal every sat. and Sunday until 1:00 pm. Not watered down, but good coffee.

That is the famous VooDoo quarter. George was turned into a zombie and his eye glows. LOL

It’s a stain and nothing more but it doesn’t take a lot of imagination to see Washington twice.

Whatever stained this picked up the design and it travelled creating what you see, before it dried out.

Dearborn Above average collector - Is that an Error?

Maybe he just wanted a 1/4 cup of coffee not a full cup, or even half a cup..

That business is smart. They use coffee as a list leader to get you in the restaurant. Once in you order food and that’s where they make the real money.

In the small town where my antique shop is there is a restaurant owner that does just this. It’s been used since before my time and will be used long after I’ve departed this world. They are called lost leaders. Not just in restaurants but in all types of stores. They have to take a loss on something just to get you in the store. The thing is, this restaurant owner has been offered $2.5 million for his property and he refuses to sell.

Actually it's "loss leader". Sorry, I just had to. I worked in retail when I was very young. That's the stuff on the end caps a lot of times.;):D

My new phone, a replacement for the one that gave up the ghost, is a pain. It’s the exact same phone but it’s a replacement that was somewhat repaired I think. I catch a lot but not everything.

I see you are familiar with the term and the way to merchandise it.
