    I am disappointed with banks and the way wrapped coins are handled. I collected state quarters for a couple of years, made books of quarters for my grandchildren, then wrapped the remainder to take to the bank or rather my credit union. I was told in no uncertain terms that the CU would not take the wrapped coins, but I could have them counted in a machine located in the lobby that only charged 15% to make the count, while my savings account pays less than 1%. Are they where the other banks are, or am I just opposed to paying exorbitant prices for bank services.

    My CU has no counting fees for CU members. everyone else pays like 15% though.

    yeah, the old acid treatment, cooks off the copper in the middle without eating up too much of the nickel. I've found my share of those coin roll hunting also. coin counters won't take em either.

    Are you kidding me, I have yet to see you post anything negative, geez. I will patiently wait for a new find, and say, I knew it!!! Wish I had your luck.
