IMO a lot of the early coins have been "retouched" (no one would actually clean a coin, would they). Oops, I should have used the word "conserved".

There are tons of different kinds of "complete sets." Who says a date set isn't a "complete set." It all depends on how you define "complete." That said, this set clearly sold for way more than it was worth.
