Struck through grease or something else?

    Good evening all

    I found a nice condition 1985 D Roosevelt dime that has a really smooth outer edge but I’m sure it’s not wear as it’s in nice condition overall. I don’t think it’s a broadstrike as the edges are reeded and the detail is missing. It does look like it has a slight Blakesley effect on the right hand obverse so I’m pretty confused on what could of caused this. As usual any help would be much appreciated

    That attribution is only for Incomplete Planchets aka 'clipped planchets'

    Looks like wear to me.

    Thanks for the reply, I know that that’s why I was confused as I have a coin with a clip and Blakesley effect. So I’ve found another damaged coin lol, looks like I will have to keep on digging
