Yep, certainly looks legit to me, though I'm no specialist in such things. I'll leave the more experienced error/variety folks to discuss Blakesly effect and all that stuff.
This brings up a good point. Does the Royal Mint use the same process of upsetting a blank into a planchet, thus allowing the the Blakesly effect to form? Or is their process different?
