off my bucket list. Today I was able to accomplish this, the only steam engine of the Strasburg railroad that I didn't have a quarter squashed by it.
Hey @dwhiz . That reminds me of my childhood . I use to live a train track and once in awhile we use to do the same thing . Always pennies because I never had the clad to spare .
@dwhiz I wonder if it might be worth your effort to use an engraver and mark each of your squishies by the train that ran them over.
@dwhiz . My best time with Trains is when the Carnival would go by with all it's attractions aboard . Another cool thing is there apparently was a person that knew the Conductor and lived in our house before us because everyday he wood slow down and throw us a NY times newspaper. ( Amtrack) .
Neat.. List them on Ebay as 'Rare Mint Errors'.. I'm sure some bidiots will fall for it (I'm just kidding of course )
Same here. The store wouldn't take my squished nickels so I squished nuts, washers, bolts, screws, nails, and knock outs from electrical boxes. Sometimes it would be many hours or days before the next train came by so I would have a line of different stuff on the track.
I have several coins that were smooshed by the SP 4449, I need to get some smooshed by the UP 4014 Big Boy
