I would add that the U.S. Mint is catering more to the handful of dealers who then can control what we collectors are charged on the secondary market. The slabbed coins are especially outrageously priced.
Actually two eagles, this year's Limited Edition silver proof set includes a silver proof set plus both a type I and type II ASE.
Yep, it's always been redundant and expensive. But at least this year it's $16 cheaper than buying the pieces separately.
