Now I am trying to decide if I should get one of each. I know I already have a '28 S but I also know I did collect the mint mark varieties for the dimes. I also know it took me forever to find a nice '28 S. Oh the decisions!

Nice looking set, my congrats. I finished mine about seven years ago and your post made me think now I should look at mine and see which 28s I have and maybe refine some dates. Thanks for the nudge.

My pleasure, and thanks for the compliment. On this set, I had just finished up grading the 1959 to present with AU and in some cases MS grade coins. My '09 to '58 is left with something to desire (read that as not desire) as most are only on good to fine condition. But I had ordered new coins to upgrade these. Starting with 1940 to 1958. They came in just today, And wow do most of them look really good! most are red in color, bright and shiny and barely worn at all.
I only needed 58 coins to fill this date gap ('40-'58) but I received 140 coins and in great condition. So, this weekend can you guess what I'm going to be doing?
Yep examining each one, picking the best of the multiples, (looking for errors and varieties of course) then photographing the very best for my album and swapping them out. then I'll post up the new upgraded album.
As an example, I got 7 1955 (P) coins. (non are the famed Doubled Die - yes I did look at them LOL).

I can't think of a better way to spend the weekend on. Good luck.
