Napoleon 1802 Gold 40 francs

Coin is .37 gems of gold question is what is it worth. I bid on it at Heritage and won at 725 plus fee.

I seldom by gold coins online as the premium charged is way too high. If you're able to buy from a coin dealer face to face then you can haggle the price down. The only time it's safe to buy gold coins online is when the price of gold is down! In my mind $800 for a 1/4 ounce coin is way too much to pay, but if you really want that coin and it's truly rare, go for it! Below link has other Napoleon gold coins for sale as well, may be better to buy new, idk.

My bad, looks like I was looking at the wrong coin, depends how bad you want it! I try only to buy bullion. The coin being 12.9 grams certainly makes a difference though.
