It looks to me like this one is the 1939 DDR. Check it out closer. The pic is a little light, but it sure looks like it could be it to me. I see the doubling on the O and the Split serif on the C in Cents.
@Beardigger in the HOUSE! one of the all time greats! Thanks for stopping in. I'll check that '39 as soon as I'm home. Late night at work.
You're right! Hey @Treashunt, found my first ddr! Through the loupe, that last "o" in Monticello is 100% doubled. Thanks guys! Great eye @Beardigger! Thanks so much! *edit The closer i look to the actual coin, the more it all stands out.
Great News! Congrats! The one I have sat around in my nickels for a year before I took a closer look and Finally figured it out. Now I can't un-see it LOL. I'm THRILLED for you! Glad I could help!
This week has been like coin hunting on steroids. Worst first? Sure. 4th Marsh-Billings for the week, and 64th total. That's the worst. Lol
On to the valuable stuff. Silver nickel, dime, and quite a few quarters, this week. Speaking of witch ...
Dimes did not want to be outdone this week. Someone at work gave me a gallon container less than 1/4 full with change in it, and asked if i could count it. I got permission and started doing my thing. 66.72 in loose, mixed, dirty, ugly change. But winking at me from the middle of the pile was that fella. Showed it to my co-worker, explained what it was, offered a couple bucks for it. They just thanked me for counting and rolling what i could, and told me to keep it. Ok, thanks!
