Greetings happy Labor Day okay this is driving me absolutely nuts for a few days I've been studying the 2004 Lincoln cent out here and I came to the conclusion I'm going nuts just when I think I understood about the DDR I got to go back and contradict myself which leads me into more contradiction and finally I get so frustrated I walk away only to come back again and give it another try well I did that I ain't doing it no more that's why I come to you and when I say you that means everybody I'm talking about the e pluribus unum I understand some parts of it like the dots but when it comes to the thickening of the letters for a DD I just can't grasp it maybe I'm trying too hard so you people enlighten me I have a few of the 2004 I posted them individual pics which seems to be the way to do it with some nice pictures I hope thank you all in advance now I'm going to run and hide LOL

A quick suggestion. Your OP is difficult to read with no punctuation or paragraph breaks. Some members (me included) just skip over stuff like this because its not worth the effort to interpret.

Not trying to be the grammar police, just offering some tips to get more eyes on your question

You need to be able to provide in-focus close-ups of the area(s) you suspect the doubling…it’s the only way members have to assess what you find.

You’re making it harder than it is. Just compare with the doubling on VV or Wexler. If it doesn’t match, it may be an unlisted variety or it just plain is not doubled…imo…Spark

I stopped reading as it's one run-on sentence and too much work to read. I have a 2nd cousin that messages me that way and I don't read him either. I figure if the person writing isn't interested enough to spend the time to put in punctuation marks, then why would I be interested enough to spend the time on what he wrote.

By the way doesn't the doubling have to do something with the dots that are at the pluribus unum. one was round one was flat. correct me if I'm wrong does that have anything to do with the doubling

Your photos really aren't clear or in depth enough to tell what is doubled and what isn't. From the small sized dots in EPU. This says that if there is any doubling then it is mechanical doubling witch takes away from the details instead of adding to them.

By the way @Jjpe doubled dies are Variety's not Errors.

Both dots would be elongated if it was a doubled die.

You have the coin in hand so check it against these. If you are satisfied, take clear, in focus close ups and list the ref number you think it matches exactly. There are 68 DDR's for this date, 2 of them are related to EPU, the rest are all to do with the bay where Lincoln sits. Your pics are just too blurry
