If he can turn a dollar coin into a $450+ coin, more power to him.

Although I sincerely don’t think he can get that much for it but whatever. I’d probably list it for $25 obo.

    Why the ZAK.

Wasn't Bill Zach (?) the one who did amazing work?

Yes, he did amazing hobo pieces that sold for top dollar! He's one of the guys who started using bigger coins and came out with some real beauties! thumbsup.gif

Good. Then my memory serves me correctly.
This guy sure ain't no Bill Zach. Needs to polish the ZAK off that piece. I'd pay him under face and demand free shipping.
    Think he'd accept?;)

He tried something different but it didn’t work, for me at least.

Okay, lets put a firecracker in his butt, plate his body in fake gold, and shot him off into space. That should cool him off, don't you think? Stupid is what stupid does!

Looks pretty nice to me. It is marked 24K not ZAK. Artist's initial are DZ.

Originally, the coin was worth maybe a little over face value, but now . . . it is worthless, at least to me.

Roman Booteen does amazing art pieces, with mechanisms to open wings etc - and those are worth top dollar. If even I like them you know they are good.

The "artist" in the OP's post is a mere wannabee.

One of us is having visual issues as I don't see ZAK on his nickel at all, maybe it's the 24k he scratched in above left, of the date. Is that what you're talking about??

Yep, I completely agree, I just see 24K as well. The 2 has the same shape as the 2 on the 1982 small date cent (a nice rounded curve at the bottom). It is not all straight lines as you would expect from a 'Z'. the 'K' is a little rough due to being on the edge of the device.

Definitely a 24K but the coin is so ugly I didn’t look that closely at it. To me, it’s a complete turnoff.
