I feel like I should have been able to ID this one easily, but no luck so far.
Left image: Shield with SP... on it, crown on top. Lettering at 7:00 starts "DUX RE"...
Right Image: Thistle? "PAX.E.V"... lettering starts around 12:00
No luck searching Numista by weight (7.03 g) and diameter (~25 mm).
    Any ideas, please?

I think it’s this. Despite being under the Kingdom of Naples it was actually minted a short-lived republic. A very interesting piece, and one I’ve read about in passing. One neat thing is that their motto is SPQN, for Naples, in imitation of the more famous SPQR.

Wow, thanks! Sounds like I was very lucky for $3 unidentified.
Krause (2011) has it for $30 in VG up to $575 in XF
No idea how to grade these older coppers, comparing wear vs. strike quality.
Only one I can find on sale is this one on MA-shops for €650.
Several of the other coppers from this lot of 16 were also from Naples.
