    Hello,

I want to make an offer on this 1882 CC Morgan Dollar in "very high mint-state condition". Can you please give an estimated idea of what I should offer? Something that would be fair to myself and the seller.

here are pics (sorry about the size, thats all he sent me)

    1880 S Morgan 1D NES MS67

This is a coin that I spent way too much for. I took it to a local shop and they said it is only worth $12.50. Do I need to have it repackaged with a NGC rating or is it worth something with the NES rating? The shop told me it would cost $38.00 to have it reappraised and put into a NGC package. I am new at this and would like to invest in more Morgans - they are really beautiful, but don't want to put the extra money into repackaging. Is there a market for any NES evaulated coins?

You should start your own thread as the OP started this one but:

NES is no one that I know of...Look for NGC or PGCS until you can grade coins on your own.
Also read books and study but with those two you should be reasonably safe. And as for your coin...keep it as it is...not worth sending to NGC for regrading. Keep it as a learning tool for what not to do in the future.

As for the OP's question...it looks nice but from those pictures I can't tell you much. Since you are new I'd look to a local good dealer or look for graded NGC or PCGS coins.

and i would ask for larger pics of the coin .
thouse pics are way to small to grade a coin with
