Seller pictures on my local CL I think this is the guy who tried to sell me a phony Morgan CC a few years ago He’s a felon who was caught stealing copper from a closed USAF installation about 5 years ago I’m not an expert on these but...it don’t look right
Ya if it smells fishy, there may be guts under the table.... I have had this Fat Henry VIII coin for about a year until I came across a set of interesting looking cufflinks, sometimes it's to good to be true!
It's real...and a desired variety. It's the 1812/1 small 8. Cleaned, but still probably worth 125 to 150 dollar range. (To the right person maybe slightly more)
Yeah I was going to say surprisingly in this case that coin looks genuine. I personally wouldn’t buy it regardless as I wouldn’t want to be on a local crook’s radar as someone who collects coins.
Dunno about the seller, but the coin in the photos looks fine. Interesting presentation. Wonder if the spider is included. (I too have shot coin photos in sunlight on the weathered wood of the porch railing, but usually without insect life included, and I crop the pictures.)
Apparently not the devil I know. But I don’t forget him. Morgan CC was several grams underweight, EF condition It’s not that I don’t trust you, it’s just that I don’t trust anybody. Rick Harrison
I think I like the photo presentation more than the coin. Still, it appears genuine from the photos, cleaned, with some rim damage.
