After completing the sale of a property this morning and accompanying the seller to the bank to deposit the bank cheque, back at our office the client gave us a bottle of champagne and a little memento to remember her by. It is a Euro souvenir note produced in Germany. What is a bizarre co-incidence is that I was born in a Royal Airforce Hospital in the town of Ely in England. Hence my reason for posting this, look at the serial number. Shame my Birthdate wasn't in it as well
Yes, I have seen these souvenirs as well, some countries have some amazing designs. But to receive one with my Town of Birth in the number from someone who knows nothing personal about me was amazing.
I have had some funny birthplace coincidences as well. In New Orleans a couple years back I was speaking French with an older gentleman in a hotel.. and he knew my grandmother! it was such a funny moment. I love those types of coincidences
I wish. Can you imagine if your Town of Birth and Date of Birth was on the note, how special it would be. As it is just having my Birth town on it makes it a very special gift.
