So sorry to hear this happened to you. Check with every shop owner in your area and notify them of the theft. Pawn shops, jewelry stores, coin shops, antique stores, etc. and I mean all and every one that may buy anything you had. Don’t give up hope on collecting. My ex-wife stole everything I every owned. I have slowly replaced it all. Some in lower grades, others in higher grades. You can do the same.

Were the 3500oz of silver bars yours or one of the other places they hit? Over 200 lbs, $85,000 worth of silver in your house?

 

None of those 3 looked like “dark skinned color guys”.

 

Sorry to hear man. It's unbelievable. You had surveilance video and the theives didn't even care. Nor did the police. I'd be calling the local news to do a story on how poor the police response was and I would become a huge thorn in their side over this. There's no way somebody wasn't available for 12 hrs.

 

I think I’d be talking to an attorney.

 

Depending on how stupid these dudes are, also check Craigslist and e-bay for awhile.

 

Next time you need the police quickly you need to make two calls. As you can see the police will only respond as a clean up crew. So your first call goes out to report the crime. You know they won't arrive for quite some time. That could be 45 minutes, maybe 2 hours, whatever. Your second call should be after waiting two to three minutes. This call all you need to do is tell them to take their time. You took care of it yourself and shot the perp. When the police arrive in 30 seconds and ask where the body is just tell them you needed them there quickly and this was the only way to get them to respond.

Remember, the police have families too. They go to their job everyday like the rest of us, and they want to go home to their families too. They are not looking to engage in a shootout. They don't have to stop the crime. They only need to clean up the mess, sort it out for the detectives and let them handle solving the crime after it's committed.

Even assault calls don’t get priority 1 if parties are separated
I live 10 miles from op and listen to the scanner a lot.

 

A false police report is a CRIME

 

There was a crime. The burglary just didn't spark any response.

 

Wasn’t reported as a burglary in progress. Granted op might have said he didn’t know if anyone was inside which would still end up a burg invest

Just updated some information from police officers today , those three were speak Spanish , and my neighbor also saw those guys , he said they were black or dark colored skin , so pretty sure they were Mexican or Spanish .

 

3500 oz silver bar is my , the safe and bars weigh around 250 to 300 lbs , with my coins collection and some jewelry it worth around 200k .

 

Those coins included some high-value items that are going to be really hard to move anonymously. Let's hope the thieves are just stupid enough to try.

 

Parasites

 

There's the police massage. Appears to be a crew that has hit up and down the east coast. Voice expert says confirmed spanish speaking, most likely Mexican decent… saying to take the cameras off the wall and then telling the car to come back. The Dewitt case is the same crew. But others throughout the county are another unrelated group. The bank robberies are not involved.

 

This is infuriating. Absolutely disgusting. Words are inadequate to describe it. I would certainly be vocal about this. This blatant shirking of duty is unfortunately the result of all the knee-jerk backlash that officers get every time they do their unpleasant jobs, and ultimately of defunded police departments.

This puts us all in a tough spot. When there is no police force that serves the citizens, the citizens are the police. Some have morals and a level head, and some don't. What could possibly go wrong?

Sorry for ranting, in my area too, this is a serious issue. Anyway, I wish you the best of luck in recovering what you can. I sincerely do hope that justice is brought and you are made whole.
