How did I do? Just got my last coin to complete my Liberty Nickel set (not really). I got every coin in there, except, 1885. 1886, and 1912S. Took me $35 to build it. All coins in VG+. Did I do good?

I would say that you did very good. It took me $100 for about the same grade. How did you get the 1888 nickel so cheap? How about the 1913 nickel; it is only 3.7 million?

That is fantastic. Are you sure you have the 1887, 88, 89 & 94? Those alone should be worth about $50 in even G4. You really did good. Just where did you get those?

Hey guys sorry for jumping in, I'm not very familiar with the v nickels, would this be considered G grade?

If you got everything else (excluding the 1913, of course), including the two '83s and all of the other '80s and '90s in VG+ for only $35, then I think you got a heck of a deal.

Either G-4 or a little better. I'm a lousy grader but ones like that are really easy.

If you're grading accurately, you did great. The 1888 alone is worth that much -- at least. Just getting an 1894 and 1896 together for $35 combined is great. How'd you get those three coins so cheap?

    Pix?

Been hunting ebay for a year now, only bidding up to $2 each liberty nickel. I guess I got some. And I only bought them when they had free shipping. Except I paid like $5 each for the '87 and '88 so the number maybe been more around $40-$50. I can be a very patient person when it involves buying coins because I don't like to hoard them all at once.

I can try to get pictures up once my scanner gets fixed. The little light bar thing inside doesn't move.

I think only 5 1913 Liberty Nickels are known; but I have the 2009 red book so it may be different now. I'm still awaiting my new one.
