Is the I a little to the side in Liberty? 1997 D quarter

    That might be damage or a die chip.

    I think Barbi Petersen was asking if that quarter planchet experienced an off-centered strike. In response, I think it did but not to any degree that anyone would get excited. I have seen many quarter and dimes similarly off center.

    EDIT - I thought perhaps I had had enough beer. First there seemed to be three of these posts. Now just two. Not sure what's going on. Maybe another beer will fix it.

    It's neither an off center or broad struck. Maybe a slightly misaligned obverse die, but not enough to be worth a premium.
