    Ok, many got close, or got it right. I think it probably would have graded higher, were it not for the pretty bad die state on the obverse. Lines are not wear—they are an 1858 era die that was deteriorating badly. Reverse is much better. Not at all unusual for the earlier Seated Coinage. In hand, it is a really good looking coin. One does not see that many solidly MS Seated Halves, as they did circulate a lot, and were often harshly cleaned by collectors in the 1940s-1960s.

    Yeah. The “flood it with light” photography makes it look much more bleached out than it is. The coin has light Golden toning.
