Big multiholder! I’ve seen a few online. I wouldn’t want one in my own collection- I prefer individual holders, personally- but on the other hand, I can admit they’re neat looking, and might look snazzy on one’s office shelf or desk, if you got one of those little easels to put it on. Would make a great gift for a Buffalo nickel enthusiast.
They have/had them for all coins...first-last Morgans, etc...also maybe the first/last 1986 and 2021 T-1 Heraldic ASEs...and it's not always first/last. I have one with the last/first...last Franklin (1963) and first Kennedy in 64, both NGC PF68.
NGC if I remember stopped doing these a while ago. I thought they were interesting, but too bulky myself.
Coins = $70 NGC multi holder = $120 See a couple of jaws dropping when it sells for $790 on eBay as “NGC vintage super rare multi-coin holder upgrade CAC plus star monster toning Buffalo box” = priceless :-D
Seen these big holders before but not for buffalo's.To bulky for my taste although they do look nice-the coins.
@Steven Shaw any idea why the 1913 Buffalo got a star grade? It looks like the 1938 Buff is nicely toned and should have received a star.
I've got one. Unfortunately NGC kept the coin orientation on the reverse, when it should have been rotated 180 degrees. Still, it's a fun way to look at a nicely toned pair from the same Mint Set 1958 D card.
That's cool! NGC stopped doing the multi-holders for a while but they sometimes make special allowances (as I've seen newer versions). They also allow dealers to do multi holders (I've seen some with sets of Carson City Morgans, the three 1943 steel cents, and a few others). I do like some but other times the coins don't seem to match well. In general, I'm in the same camp as @lordmarcovan and prefer the coins in individual holders. That way it's less bulky and you can sell one if needed instead of both.
