Picked this tiny little fella up after looking at them for awhile. Thought it would be fun to have a super tiny coin. The fact that it is gold makes it that much better :)

I had a hard time finding an identification for the Raja this coin was minted under. The only example I could find was on ma-shops and was in german but it didn't have much information.

If you have any teenie weenie fanams, feel free to share :)

Nice. That face could have been an ancient emoji.

These coins were mostly minted between the 1700s-1800s I believe. So, old...but not quite ancient. They do remind me a bit like some of these older Indian coins though:
    India
    Gadhaiya Paisa
    ~1,000 AD

I believe they're from Kingdom of Travancore, stylized Vishnu's feet, and stylized boar.

Lovely looking coin. I would be frightened of sneezing and never finding it again:)

Not gonna lie, I dropped it when I was trying to get it out of the flip to take a picture. It was one of those slow-mo moments where I went "Ohhhhhhhhh Shiiiii......". It bounced off the floor and landed on the top of my foot lol.

    And here are my Fanams,
Kanthariva Mysore kingdom coin with seated Narashima, the lion headed Vishnu.

A double Fanam that was made by the British East India Company at Madras Presidency (modern day Chennai), this one is actually scarce and expensive compared to other Presidencies, also the fact that it is also one of the 'Proclamation coin' means its demands are bit high in Australia, Proclamation coinage were approved coinage from around the world to be used in the early days of Australian colonies!

What is that 2nd coin made from and how big is it? Clearly not the same size as the teeny tiny gold fanams.

    They're silver, around 1.8g, 14mm, and from 1802.
